Select Board · Meeting of August 25, 2026
Plymouth Select Board advanced a slate of Fall Town Meeting articles, including a one-year moratorium on data centers. The board voted 5-0 to send the moratorium, running Oct. 17, 2026, to Oct. 16, 2027, to town meeting after Deputy Director of Planning and Development Michael Silveira warned of water and electrical-grid impacts. Members split 4-1 to amend the town's Civil Conduct Policy with a complaint-review timeline, with Kevin Canty dissenting, warning it would "weaponize certain conduct." The board also voted 4-1 to send a senior-housing zoning amendment raising parking from a half-space to one space per unit, with David Golden opposed, and voted 5-0 to approve a conservation restriction protecting a 5.17-acre former cranberry bog on Herring Pond Road.
Assistant Finance Director Cameron Scott reported state aid came in $1.9 million above budget. The board also advanced a $400,000 Title V septic repair loan request.
