Plymouth Select Board approves modernized sewer regulations and calls April special town meeting. The vote to call the April 11 meeting passed 3-1-1, with Chair David Golden Jr. voting no and Vice Chair Richard Quintal Jr. abstaining; state law requires the board to convene a town meeting within 45 days of receiving a petition with more than 200 registered voter signatures. The sewer regulations, last officially updated in 1983, condense more than 160 pages to 47, streamlining language and standards.
The board also authorized applications for a 3 million dollar Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness grant for downtown resiliency and a 300,000 dollar Coastal Resilience grant for beach nourishment design.
