The Town of Plymouth announced Oct. 29 that it has updated its liquor license and auto dealer permit fees, effective Jan. 1, 2027.

The Plymouth Select Board voted Tuesday, Oct. 27, to increase the fees after several years without changes. The new rates will apply to 2027 licenses. Town officials said the adjustments are meant to bring Plymouth's fee schedule in line with neighboring communities and to reflect current costs and operational needs.

Going forward, the fees will be subject to an annual 3% adjustment, not including administrative fees.

Select Board Chair Deb Iaqunito said in a statement, "During a comprehensive review of our liquor license and auto dealer permit fees, we found that most have not been updated for many years. In some cases, the same fees have been in place for 20 to 30 years. We benchmarked our fees against those of similar communities and we believe this schedule brings Plymouth in line with current practices."

The town compared its liquor license and auto dealer permit fees to those of neighboring communities as of Oct. 27, 2026, as part of the review.

Businesses with questions about the new fee schedule can contact the Licensing Officer at licensing@plymouth-ma.gov or (508) 322-3383.
