Plymouth Center Steering Committee backs crosswalk relocation study.

Plymouth Center Steering Committee · Meeting of February 11, 2026

Plymouth Center Steering Committee unanimously votes to study crosswalk relocation. Sgt. Rob Shaw reported that quick stops at the Court Street and Allerton intersection resulted from crosswalk placement, not excessive speeding, and recommended moving the issue to the Department of Public Works; the committee approved a motion by Chair Harrison Quinn to send a letter to DPW Director Bill Cole requesting the relocation review.

Sgt. Robert Ferguson, Plymouth Police liaison, noted that snow removal operations continue, downtown road races are postponed due to Water Street construction, five police recruits graduate May 5, and the town has tabled e-bike conversions pending state legislation requiring registration.
