Plymouth Youth Hockey released its 2026-2027 head coaching list and opened assistant coach applications this week.

PLYMOUTH -- Youth hockey dominates the local sports calendar for the week of July 6-12, as Plymouth Youth Hockey (PYH), the volunteer-run program founded in 1972, rolled out administrative and volunteer news ahead of the coming season.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- PYH published its "2026-2027 Head Coach List," welcoming new and returning coaches across its co-ed, girls' and middle school programs. Listed head coaches include Emily Mazzola (6U Co-Ed, GU10 and LTP), Chris Plourde (8U B White), Matt Kelly (8U B Blue), Mike Smith (8U C Red), Brandon McSorley (10U B), Dan Quill (10U C and MS White), Pat Higgins (12U A), Tom Latham (12U B) and DJ Cicotte (14U). On the girls' side, GU12 and GU14 head coaches remain listed as TBD. Middle school assignments also include Eddie Goodwin (MS Blue) and Jennifer Mulvaney (MS Red).

The organization also announced that assistant coach registration is now open, with applicants asked to contact their player's head coach before applying; head coaches will select their own assistants. Separately, PYH said required CEP certification clinics for coaches ahead of the upcoming season open June 15.

PYH also introduced "Friends of Plymouth Youth Hockey," a new volunteer committee formed to support fundraising and event operations, including raffles, a "Summer Off Ice" event and a "Summer 3 vs 3" event, and is seeking volunteers with skills ranging from event planning to photography.
