Plymouth Youth Hockey finalized its September fundraiser weekend schedule and launched a new volunteer group to support the program.

PLYMOUTH --

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Plymouth Youth Hockey's "Toss for a Cause" cornhole tournament is set for Friday, September 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the VFW on Seven Hills Road, featuring food, drinks, games and a 50/50 raffle, with the event sponsored by Plymouth Orthodontics. The organization has now added Sunday plans to the weekend: a family skate from 10:00 to 11:50 a.m. at Armstrong Arena on Sunday, September 20, along with an equipment swap for gently used hockey gear and Kona Ice on site. According to Plymouth Youth Hockey, proceeds from the weekend support ice time, equipment, financial aid, coaching and programs for the organization's players.

Separately, Plymouth Youth Hockey introduced a new volunteer group, Friends of Plymouth Youth Hockey, describing it as a collaboration of volunteers to assist with fundraising and operational efforts. The organization said it is seeking help with events, sponsorship outreach, social media content, administrative work and day-of event volunteering.
