Plymouth Board of Health Approves Septic Variances, Polystyrene Extension in Unanimous Votes

PLYMOUTH — March 18, 2026 — Plymouth Board of Health clears three unanimous votes on septic variances and a polystyrene extension. Meeting Wednesday, March 18 at Plymouth Town Hall, the four-member quorum — Chair Teri Reid, M.D., Barry Potvin, Amy Palmer, and newly welcomed member Kate Morini, who did not vote pending her swearing-in — approved septic variances for 78 Lakeview Blvd. and 208 Manomet Point Road, each 3-0, with all motions by Palmer and seconds by Potvin or Reid. The board also granted Charlene Atkinson of Kush Kone a polystyrene goods extension through May 31, 2026, on the same 3-0 tally. Lorna Brunelle of Middleboro delivered a personal account of her colon cancer diagnosis during a Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month presentation, and Dr. Kyle Trecartin, Chief Medical Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth, briefed the board on hospital developments. Chair Reid closed the meeting by announcing two confirmed measles cases in Massachusetts.
