Zoning Board · Meeting of August 3, 2026

Plymouth's Zoning Board approved two home additions and denied a metal shed on Monday. The board voted 5-0 to approve special permits for Sean Galligan's rear deck at 10 Brewster Street and for Robert and Michelle Gilmore's addition at 23 Bay View Avenue, the latter presented by engineer Chris Sanderson of Merrill Engineering & Land Surveyors. A variance request from Wayne and Rhonda Morris to rearrange three undersized Sea View Drive lots was withdrawn without prejudice, 5-0, after most members said attorney Robb D'Ambruoso had not shown a "practical difficulty" under a newly amended state standard, though Chair Michael Leary said "I have a different opinion." The board denied William Smith's 30-by-30-foot metal shed at 359 Lund's Way without prejudice, 5-0, after abutter Douglas Wood said the project pushed lot coverage to "37.9 percent." Board member Alan Costello said he "would have difficulty voting for this under any circumstances."
