Plymouth Finance Subcommittee Approves All Five Enterprise Fund Budgets Unanimously

PLYMOUTH — February 3, 2026 — Plymouth's Finance Committee subcommittee unanimously approved all five enterprise fund budgets for FY2027 at its February 3 meeting. Subcommittee Chair Everett Malaguti and members Maria Reitman, Scott Vecchi, and Christine Richards approved operating budgets totaling roughly $16.3 million across the Airport ($3,805,367, up 0.9 percent), Cable Public Access ($1,495,000, down 3.2 percent), Solid Waste ($1,020,849, up 6.9 percent), Sewer ($6,697,915, up 9.9 percent), and Water ($3,287,156, up 0.7 percent) enterprise funds. Wastewater Superintendent Doug Panarin warned that sludge disposal, chemical, and hydrogen sulfide monitoring costs are already straining the current fiscal year's sewer budget, with a roughly $230,000 supplemental appropriation expected at spring Town Meeting. Airport Manager Matt Garryl disclosed he is leaving in March, with coordinator Brendan expected to serve as interim. Assistant Town Manager Silvio Nero acknowledged falling cable subscriber counts put long-term PEG fee revenue at risk, saying of the streaming shift: "We got to start thinking about what that looks like and what our plans are."
