Plymouth Zoning Board of Appeals approved two special permits and denied a third in unanimous votes. The board approved permits for Sean Galligan to construct a 12-by-18-foot rear deck at 10 Brewster Street within 6 feet of the side line, and for Robert and Michelle Gilmore Trust to construct a 12.5-by-26.5-foot addition at 23 Bay View Avenue. The board denied without prejudice a permit for William Smith to construct a 30-by-30-foot metal shed at 359 Lunn's Way after abutting neighbor Douglas Wood raised concerns about cumulative structures and site planning.

The board also voted to withdraw a variance petition from Wayne and Rhonda Morris, with the applicant's attorney citing uncertainty about the state's recently amended practical-difficulty standard.
