PLYMOUTH — West Plymouth Steering Committee unanimously approved an earlier meeting start time and heard updates on persistent water quality and landscaping. Members of the Clear Pond Association reported the pond has been closed for two years due to cyanobacteria and are exploring aluminum sulfate treatment at a cost between $60,000 and $80,000. Lauren Lind has taken over as Director of Planning and Development following Lee Hartman's December retirement.
Officer Patrick Wetterberg reported December was quiet in West Plymouth, with Walmart as the exception. Nathaniel Moore proposed increased resident outreach on neighborhood issues, drawing on the successful model used by the Manomet Steering Committee.
