PLYMOUTH — Visitor Services Board heard multiple event and cultural funding requests at its February 3 meeting. Nicholas Faiella, Superintendent and Tree Warden of the Parks Department, requested $32,727 for hanging flower baskets, watering, decorative lighting, and holiday wreaths; Faiella noted this was the 23rd year requesting support. The Philharmonic Orchestra, Americana Theatre Company, First Fridays Plymouth, and Downtown Waterfront District all presented programming and event plans.
Olly DeMacedo reported the America's Hometown Thanksgiving Parade achieved 60 percent growth in national viewership from 2024 to 2025, reaching approximately 125,000 households across multiple airings and nationwide streaming. The Board approved the January 20, 2026 meeting minutes unanimously.
