PLYMOUTH — Visitor Services Board approves $619,393 in FY27 grants across special events, marketing, and improvements. Chair Steven Lydon led the Board through unanimous approval of 21 special events totaling $389,280, including $60,000 for the July 4th Parade and Fireworks and $45,000 for the Philharmonic Independence Day Concert. The Board funded Plymouth Center for the Arts marketing at $28,500, reduced from the requested $50,000, citing concerns that the town should not cover more than half the organization's total marketing budget.
The Board tabled Enhancing Golf Tourism pending further discussion with See Plymouth and reserved $75,000 for potential 250th anniversary programming.
