Plymouth Affordable Housing Trust votes down evening meeting shift. Chair Bill Keohan and member Barnaby Bosanquet moved to shift meetings from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month to boost public participation, but the proposal failed 7 to 2 among the nine-member Trust. The Trust received an informational update from Neighbor Works CEO Robert Corley, whose nonprofit manages approximately 5,000 affordable housing units and serves 20,000 to 25,000 households annually.
Members discussed housing production strategies developed through League of Women Voters research, including zoning changes and increased collaboration among municipal housing bodies. The Trust also explored down-payment assistance loan options for buyers at Alden's Reach and will continue discussion at its next meeting.
