PLYMOUTH — Budget Sub-Committee B approved 14 fiscal 2027 budget recommendations, allocating $295,000 to fund three dedicated public safety information technology positions. The amendment to the $3,688,927 information technology budget addresses mission-critical staffing gaps supporting Police and Fire dispatch systems, communications, records management, and cybersecurity protection. Member insurance costs rise 13.1 percent to $44,241,667, driven by medical claims and specialty medications including GLP-1 drugs.

Pension contributions increase 8.1 percent to $23,274,394, reflecting actuarial obligations for town and school employee benefits. The sub-committee, chaired by Christine Richards with members Dennis Friedman, Maria Reitman, and David Trudell, approved all recommendations; the IT amendment passed 2-0 with 2 abstentions, while Procurement and Assessing budgets drew dissenting votes.
