PLYMOUTH — Southern Plymouth County public health panel approved $20,000 for Vaccine for Children program. The PHE Collaborative, with representatives from Carver, Duxbury, Kingston, Plymouth, Plympton, and Wareham, voted 4-0 with one abstention to allocate FY26 funds for equipment and supplies to establish the VFC program, pending confirmation of a host site; Wareham indicated interest via email but requires further clarification. Meg Payne, Plymouth's VNA Director of Public Health and Provider Relations, noted the funds could alternatively support prenatal home visits if a site is not secured.
The Committee also unanimously approved its FY27 budget and work plan, greenlit printing of maternal and child health materials at a cost of $2,000 to $2,500, and tabled discussion of radon detector distribution through town libraries pending liability review.
