Select Board presents budgets, directs reduced-spending review

Plymouth Advisory and Finance Committee receives recommended budgets at joint meeting. The Select Board approved the original School budget as recommended and made selective reductions to the Town budget, while directing departments to prepare reduced-budget scenarios equal to 1 percent of the tax levy. Chairman Joseph Lalley presided over the 13-member committee, which will conduct month-long departmental review.

Officials are considering a possible Proposition 2 1/2 property tax override.
