PLYMOUTH — The Land Use and Acquisition Committee received a report on the Select Board's 3-2 approval of a conditional deal with buyer Sheridan to preserve or conserve 55 of the northern acres of the P.A. Landers c. 61 property. Chair Hampton Watkins noted questions among committee members about procedure, conflict-of-interest compliance, and whether the deal provides meaningful benefit to the town.
The committee also learned that Governor Healy signed H.4501, enabling changes to the Town Charter and expanding LUAC authority to oversee all forms of town land acquisition and sale. The Atlantic Country Club will exit c. 61 restriction in July 2026 after declining to renew status and paying back taxes owed.
