Plymouth's Select Board filled five committee vacancies and approved $100,000 in anniversary spending. Appointees included George Washington Herz II and Barnaby W. Bosanquet to the Affordable Housing Trust, Darlene Ford and Grace Dixon to the Natural Resources and Coastal Beaches Committee, and Michael Lombard to the Plymouth Growth and Development Corporation.
In a 4-1 vote, the board allocated $50,000 each from free cash for July Fourth and Thanksgiving 250th-anniversary celebrations; Selectman Kevin Canty opposed both on budget grounds. The board also unanimously named the new Route 80 Cemetery "Freedom Memorial Cemetery" and approved phases one and two of the E-Bike Education and Communication Plan.
