Plymouth Select Board approves wastewater groundwater discharge project in 4-1 vote. The board endorsed submission of the Draft Environmental Impact Report to pursue increased discharge to rapid infiltration beds on Camelot Drive, raising permitted daily capacity from 2.5 to 3.0 million gallons per day while saving an estimated $40,000 to $50,000 annually in pumping costs. Selectman William Keohan dissented, citing concerns about protecting the Eel River watershed.

The town's Wastewater Groundwater Discharge Citizens Advisory Committee voted 3-2-1 against the plan after 12 meetings, recommending incremental testing and immediate tertiary treatment. Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act and Department of Environmental Protection will make final determinations.
