Plymouth Select Board narrows town budget gap with targeted cuts totaling $170,057. The board voted 3 to 2 on January 13 to approve the FY2027 School Budget as presented by Superintendent Chris Campbell without reduction, then voted 4 to 1 to approve the town budget as amended. Selectmen Iaquinto and Keohan led support for preserving school services while minimizing town department cuts.

Town Manager Derek Brindisi identified a $9 million budget shortfall driven by $5.1 million in new health insurance costs and $1.7 million in pension liability. Chair Golden expressed frustration that approved cuts represented less than seven hundredths of one percent rather than the requested one percent reduction.
