School Committee approves academic calendar, three field trips.

Plymouth School Committee votes unanimously to approve academic calendar and three trips. Superintendent Dr. Christopher Campbell's 2026-2027 academic calendar passed 6-to-0, along with field trips for Plymouth South High School and Plymouth North High School to the Rhode Island School of Design Museum in Providence and an international journey to Collegio San Carlo in Milan, Italy from February 14 to 22, 2027.
The committee heard that the Plymouth Early Childhood Center will relocate from Morton Elementary to Plymouth Community Intermediate School and Plymouth South Middle School; Director Denise Tobin acknowledged insufficient communication to parents that the original location was temporary. Five retiring staff members—Deb Carter, Leanne Stunkle Doyal, Laura Dolan, Karen Spinelli, and Michael Canavan—were recognized for 126 combined years of service.
