Public Safety Subcommittee Backs $42.1M FY27 Budget

Plymouth Public Safety subcommittee unanimously backs FY27 budgets totaling $42.1M for five departments. The Advisory and Finance Committee's Sub-Committee C voted 4-0-0 to recommend approval of Police, Fire, Emergency Management, Harbormaster, and Energy and Environment budgets. Police Chief Dana A.

Flynn's department, currently 16 officers and 1 sergeant short, receives $19.6 million (an 11.1 percent increase) for new police cruisers and equipment modernization. The Fire Department's $19.3 million budget (up 8.1 percent) includes PFAS-free gear and thermal imaging devices mandated by state law.
