Committee of Precinct · Meeting of October 15, 2026

PLYMOUTH — Precinct chairs heard the town moderator defend his rulings on three citizens' petitions. Town Moderator Trifoletti told the Committee of Precinct Chairs he ruled Article 25, on airport accounting, out of order, citing state law and a May 6 Superior Court injunction, and said such substantive rulings cannot be appealed on the floor. Article 26 was withdrawn, and Article 24 will go forward as originally written.

A member said it is a "fundamental problem" if in-house counsel cannot review petitions. The committee also voted 12-4, with two abstentions, to drop the 6 p.m. start and return to 7 p.m. in November. It also reviewed the $300,000 Article 8 request for Shallow Pond Estates road work.
