PLYMOUTH — Precinct 3 Caucus held a community meeting to discuss April Town Meeting results and local concerns. The nine-member group, chaired by Dale Webber, voiced alarm over staffing shortages at Memorial Hall, where two craftsmen positions are unfilled and both custodians have retired; under the town's hiring freeze, Webber warned that expensive outside contracting could create ongoing maintenance problems. Vice Chair Gerald Sirrico questioned progress on traffic-calming projects from a Precinct 3 study and raised concern about unrepaired sidewalk buckling on Newfield Street.
The caucus also weighed the timing of a potential tax override in light of state budget uncertainties. The group adjourned at 7:20 PM and set June 4 for reorganization.
