PLYMOUTH — Precinct 15 Town Meeting Member Caucus weighs two contested warrant articles ahead of spring town meeting. Ken Stone, Vice Chair of Precinct 16, presented opposition to Article 18, the Training Green Pedestrian Lighting and Irrigation project, citing negative votes from the Advisory & Finance, Capital Improvement, and Historic Preservation Committees and concerns from the Coastal Overlay Planning Committee about liability and ADA compliance. Art Desloges, Lead Petitioner for the Plymouth Community Trust By-Law, argued for Article 37, though the Chief of Police has flagged a conflict with department policies and a former Select Board member offered public opposition.
Advisory & Finance Committee members reported a 9-to-3 vote in favor of Article 37 and recommended $213,000 for information technology budget expenditures, authorizing two of three proposed staff additions.
