Select Board · Meeting of July 14, 2026

Plymouth Select Board voted 3-2 to approve a roads acceptance policy establishing property owner betterment requirements and limiting acceptances to spring town meetings. Director of Public Works Bill Coyle and Town Engineer Rick Bosse detailed standards including 18-foot minimum pavement, clear title, and multi-step petition process. Selectman Kevin Canty and Chair Deb Iaquinto supported the policy; Vice Chair Richard Quintal Jr. and Selectman Bill Keohan opposed, citing equity concerns for residents who have long paid taxes.

Separately, residents of Shallow Pond Estates requested fall town meeting authorization for road acceptance; the Board directed DPW to return August 4 with cost estimates for title and survey work.
