Plymouth for All Committee backs ICE policy, approves strategic framework

Plymouth for All Committee unanimously endorses proposed ICE by-law one day after Select Board adoption of Police policy. Chair Peter Matlon reported the Select Board's January 6 meeting lasted nearly five hours, resulting in adoption of Police Chief Flynn's immigration cooperation policy as town law; the Committee voted unanimously to support a companion by-law petition scheduled for April Town Meeting vote. The Committee also approved its Strategic Framework and allocated $360 for Martin Luther King Jr. event t-shirt sales.
A newly formed team of Stephen Karam, Keyana Adarkwah, and Meg Ash will conduct listening sessions on Islamophobia and anti-Muslim bigotry in Plymouth.
