Plymouth Board Chair Unveils Affordable Housing Strategy

Plymouth's governing board chair used this month's Community Report to lay out a new strategy for reaching the town's 10 percent affordable housing goal, while the town also announced a third neighborhood information session on its wastewater management plan for Manomet residents.

In a Community Report released this week, the board chair outlined what officials described as a proactive strategy to move Plymouth toward its 10 percent affordable housing target, a threshold that shapes how much control the town has over housing development under state law. The report frames the push as an ongoing priority for the board rather than a one-time initiative.

Separately, the town announced it will hold a third Neighborhood Information Session on its Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan for Manomet residents. The session, organized through the plan's Community Advisory Committee, is intended to keep residents updated as the town works through its wastewater planning process.
