Airport Community Advisory Committee · Meeting of July 23, 2026

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Airport Community Advisory Committee unanimously re-elected Adam Bond as Chair and approved Kyle Bodel as Vice Chair and James Buckley as Clerk. The committee advanced a comprehensive outreach strategy including yard signs, social media posts, QR-code surveys, and exploration of cable television broadcasts on CAT TV/Local Scene. Tom Hurley of the Massachusetts Airport Management Association cited a 2019 MassDOT study attributing $62.9 million in economic output and 368 jobs to Plymouth Airport, with an updated analysis expected within months.

The committee discussed challenging the FAA's 1970s-era 65-decibel noise standard as outdated for densely populated areas and directed Hurley to contact Lawrence and Stowe airport managers for existing noise studies. The next meeting is set for August 27, 2026.
