Plymouth Affordable Housing Trust authorized $30,000 to supplement affordable-home down payments. In a unanimous vote, the trust allocated funds to fill gaps in federal Community Development Block Grant assistance, which typically ranged from $10,000 to $15,000. Director of Community Development Peggy Whalen noted the reactivated program targeted deed-restricted homes while respecting federal limitations on eligible expenses.
The trust also discussed scheduling a Planning Board presentation on its programs and heard updates on Habitat for Humanity's 195 Wareham Road property and 50 mobile home units at Mayflower Hills to be added to the state inventory upon resale.
