PLYMOUTH — Planning and Select boards jointly review Plymouth economic development strategy. Planning Board Chair Steven Bolotin, Select Board Chair David Golden, and Stephen Cole, Executive Director of the Plymouth Economic Development Foundation, presented on tax revenue challenges, workforce imbalances, and Comprehensive Plan implementation. Selectman Kevin Canty expressed alarm at Plymouth's unsustainable jobs-commuting imbalance and called for zoning changes, economic incentives, and partnerships with Beth Israel and vocational schools.

Foundation board member Mathew Muratore identified Plymouth's town meeting form of government, now serving nearly 70,000 residents, as structurally inefficient for decision-making.
