Open Space Committee approves prior minutes, hears Wildlands Trust presentation.

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Open Space Committee approved prior meeting minutes and heard a presentation by Wildlands Trust Director Karen Grey on land stewardship in southeastern Massachusetts. The committee discussed the P.A. Landers property on Hedges Pond Road, currently in Chapter 61 with a town right of first refusal through August 15.

Committee member Diane Peck will draft a letter to the Select Board supporting land acquisition and emphasizing protection of open space; the draft will be reviewed at the June 11 meeting. Wildlands Trust manages over 65,000 acres regionally, with 28 percent of Plymouth currently protected.
