PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Open Space Committee approved its July 23 minutes and received a draft native plant guide spanning the Massachusetts growing season, focused on pollinator species attractive to insects and resistant to deer. Chair Stephanie Silva noted that the Conservation Commission chair, Open Space Committee chair, and Land Use and Acquisition Committee chair will meet monthly for information-sharing. The committee established a protocol to notify the Department of Natural Resources in advance of tax-title property transfers to the Conservation Commission, after costs mounted from prior transfers enacted at Town Meeting.
Upcoming events include a town-wide beach hike on August 28, a Darby Pond walk on October 24, and Trails Working Group work sessions at Kapell-Pinnacle and Wildlands Trust barn.
