PLYMOUTH — Open Space Committee adopts pocket parks program for Plymouth neighborhoods. Acting Chair Diane Peck led the unanimous approval of a motion directing the committee to work with town management and neighborhood groups to foster small green community spaces managed by local associations or nonprofits. The framework allows three ownership models: full association purchase, town lease to association, or a Pocket Park Use Agreement retaining town ownership while delegating management.
Presenters Steve Bolotin, Bruce Howard, and Liz Tracy also outlined roles for town departments including Parks and Forestry, Conservation Commission, and Public Works in supporting pocket park development and maintenance.
