PLYMOUTH — Manomet Village Steering Committee unanimously approved a letter requesting Department of Public Works improvements to faded signage on Rocky Hill Road. Vice Chair Jeannette Kelly raised two additional safety concerns: the need for a crosswalk on State Road between Briggs and Melix roads, and speeding vehicles on curvy, sidewalk-free Bartlett Road where residents walk to Fresh Pond. Assistant Director of DPW James Downey indicated the State Road crosswalk location was previously denied but noted Bartlett Road alternatives remain under review.
A motion to adopt Robert's Rules of Order sparked procedural conflict; Chair Alice Baker ruled it out of order, and after continued argument the meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM with Michaela der Kinderen voting to adjourn while Bill Arienti and Anthony Mayo opposed.
