PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Land Use and Acquisition Committee unanimously approved prior minutes and launched a systematic review of orphan properties—town-held parcels with no clear use or sale value. Discussion centered on the 0.66-acre Talia Way parcel, undevelopable and burdened by drainage easements on a private road, with neither DPW nor Conservation Commission interested. Committee member Bruce Howard volunteered to compile a database cataloging such lots by shared characteristics and present recommendations to the Select Board and other departments, responding to new state guidance that treasuries should not hold real estate.
