Land Use Committee continues review of Landers Farm property sale.

PLYMOUTH — The Land Use and Acquisition Committee continued review of a Chapter 61A Notice from P.A. Landers Inc. Chair Hampton Watkins noted that outside counsel has been engaged and the initial notice is expected to be rejected as non-conforming because the purchase-and-sale agreement combines Chapter 61 and non-Chapter 61 properties.
The committee discussed using the town's approximately 30-acre parcel abutting the property to potentially negotiate with the buyer, but a 2018 Town Meeting vote appears to have transferred control of that parcel to the Conservation Commission, leaving ownership unclear. A revised notice is anticipated after the initial rejection, resetting the statutory timeline for the town's right of first refusal decision.
