PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Historical Commission unanimously backed a Town Meeting article that would transfer oversight of the Demolition Delay Bylaw from the Historic District Commission to the Historical Commission. Chair Bill Fornaciari presided over the five-member panel, which also unanimously accepted a historic "High St." street sign from Michael Cohen for display at the 1749 Court House Museum. The artifact hung in front of a building at High and Market Streets before demolition during the Urban Renewal Project.
Commissioners also heard that the Old Plymouth Colony Descendants project has located 100 bronze plaques, and that the granite mile marker in Town Square will be repaired with a plastic-recreated bronze emblem.
