Historical Commission approves prior minutes, discusses design guideline updates

Historical Commission · Meeting of May 19, 2026

Plymouth Historical Commission approves prior minutes and reviews design guideline overhaul. Vice Chair Peggy Baker presided with six members present as Connor Anderson, Historic Resources Coordinator, presented a website project aggregating public historical resources and featuring a Google Map of historic sites. Dr.

Anne Mason proposed the Commission take over drafting Downtown signage text, a role previously held by the Historic District Commission. A North Plymouth resident has expressed preliminary interest in establishing a new Historic District; the Commission discussed whether the existing district could be extended instead to avoid updating guidelines. The Town's IT Department declined to fund a separate domain but approved free platforms such as Google Sites or Omeka.
