PLYMOUTH — The Historic District Commission held a site visit at the Mayflower Memorial Meetinghouse on July 8 to address Community Preservation Committee concerns about a previously approved accessible entrance project. Town Manager Derek Brindisi requested the gathering to review the preservation restriction terms required by the CPC grant. The project, approved by the HDC on June 24, removes two ground-level windows and surrounding masonry; the General Society of Mayflower Descendants must save the original materials for potential reinstallation.
A revised preservation restriction will be reviewed at the HDC's next regularly scheduled meeting on July 22, 2026, or at an earlier special meeting if ready. Four HDC members attended: Paul Blanchard, Michael Lombard, Anne Mason, and Liz Tracy.
