Earth Removal Bylaw Committee holds inaugural meeting, elects officers.

Earth Removal Bylaw Committee · Meeting of January 15, 2026

PLYMOUTH — The Earth Removal Bylaw Review Committee held its inaugural meeting and unanimously elected Michelle Christensen as Chair, Love Albrecht Howard as Vice Chair, and Allen Hemberger as Clerk. The nine-member committee will develop a draft bylaw for the Planning Board to present to Town Meeting, with meetings scheduled bi-weekly in hybrid format. Discussion centered on whether the current Zoning Bylaw Article III, Section 203-2 is adequate or requires revision; Planning Board member Steve Bolotin advocated for consultant input to add scientific rigor and credibility, while other members said proper enforcement of existing rules might suffice.

Eric Cody will review interview materials from the committee selection process to gather candidate ideas, and subcommittee formation will be considered at the next meeting on January 29.
