PLYMOUTH — Earth Removal Bylaw Committee approves prior meeting minutes and updates on site compliance. Jason Silva, Director of Inspectional Services, reported that sand excavation at 71 Hedges Pond Road in Cedarville is incidental to the primary development project, with approximately 90,000 of an estimated 180,000 cubic yards removed to date; sand removal income estimates range from $225,000 to $945,000 depending on pricing. The committee distributed a Request for Qualifications to nine consulting firms on June 1st with responses due June 17th and a signed contract needed by July 15th, with committee members Scott MacMillin, Planning Board member Carl Donaldson, Spencer Dancause, Michael Silveria, and Sandy Strassel planning to conduct candidate interviews.
Natural Features Subcommittee B advanced revisions defining earth removal to replace "mining" with "excavation" and add "peat" and "changes in grade."
