PLYMOUTH — The Distinguished Visitors Committee finalized plans for a July 2026 visit from Plymouth's Japanese sister city, Shichigahama, during a Wednesday meeting that welcomed new member Tamao Buffalo-Ellis. Chair Kelly McElreath presented a revised calendar of events including waterfront programming, Pilgrim Hall and Fenway Park tours, Native American drumming, and meals at multiple venues, with translated business cards and a Court Street banner also in development. Plymouth Rotary plans to dedicate a peace pole at Town Hall, with details pending.
The committee's current budget balance is $49,483 before inclusion of School and Town funding.
