Plymouth Conservation Commission votes peer consultant for major Pulte development. The Commission unanimously approved hiring a Section 53G consultant to conduct peer review of two residential projects totaling 113 units across multiple parcels on Sandri Drive, Hedge Road, and Court Street, with all-electric buildings and stormwater management. Representatives from Pulte Homes and LEC Environmental Consultants presented the Chapter 40B developments, which have been under Zoning Board of Appeals review since August.
During public comment, six residents opposed the project, citing concerns about schools, traffic, overdevelopment, and adequacy of rare species surveys. Commission Chair Sean Andersen noted that recent state legislation aims to make Chapter 40B projects more restrictive and to clarify Conservation Commission jurisdiction in these areas.
