Committee votes to draft purchase recommendation for Chapter 61A property.

Land Use & Acquisition Committee · Meeting of April 2, 2026

Plymouth's Land Use and Acquisition Committee unanimously voted to draft a purchase recommendation for P.A. Landers Inc. property subject to a Chapter 61A Notice of Intent to Sell. Chair Hampton Watkins reported a site visit to the 61 Lots 33-2 and 33-3 parcel on Route 3 near Hedges Pond Road, where Clerk Ethan Warren will prepare a proposal recommending the Select Board exercise its Right of First Refusal.

Attorney Robb D'Ambruoso, representing P.A. Landers, stated the company intends to sell Chapter 61 conservation properties and non-Chapter 61 parcels together, though the committee warned the notice may be invalidated under state law for including non-conservation properties, as occurred recently with Atlantic Golf Course. The acquisition would extend a town conservation corridor connecting Savery Wells land and Wildlands Trust holdings.
