Committee approves prior minutes, updates visitor calendar for July delegation

Plymouth Distinguished Visitors Committee approves calendar updates and peace pole dedication. The committee unanimously ratified prior meeting minutes and refined its event schedule for the July delegation to sister city Shichigahama. Pompey Delafield presented the Rotary peace pole project, an eight-foot structure inscribed with "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in three languages and capable of holding mementos.
The pole, with donated granite from Ken Forsdeck, awaits DPW installation near the South Russell Street atrium doors at Town Hall pending Select Board approval. The committee will meet again on May 27 to update planning on the Educational Summit and host families.
