PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth 250 Commemoration Committee approved prior minutes and moved forward with June 27 Town Square event planning, with Patrick Browne, Chair, reporting State Representative Michelle Badger was preparing a proclamation and the American Legion confirmed to raise the flag and fire a rifle volley. The Committee formally renamed its revolutionary sites guide to "Plymouth, MA Liberty Trail" and discussed replacing corroded Purple Heart Community signs at an estimated cost of $4,000 for four signs, agreeing to form a subcommittee for rededicaton planning. Anne Marie Winchester reported that July 4 Plymouth Inc met its fundraising goal before Independence Day for the first time in 15 years; the Committee also learned the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe would not participate in the June 27 event, though members thanked them for the invitation.
