Commission approves two coastal home projects, continues third hearing

Plymouth Conservation Commission approved two coastal home renovation projects with environmental conditions and continued a third hearing.

Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 15, 2026

Plymouth Conservation Commission approved two coastal home renovation projects with environmental conditions and continued a third hearing. Commission Chair Walter Morrison, III and the commissioners voted unanimously on September 15 to approve reconstructions at 36 Landfill Lane and 119 Manomet Avenue, each with strict conditions for erosion control, native plantings, and tree replacement. The 91 Manomet Avenue project was continued to October 13 pending eight special conditions addressing landscaping, stormwater management, and coastal bank erosion controls.

The commission also heard from the Buzzards Bay Coalition about a 660-acre land acquisition and dam removal project along the Agawam River, with permitting scheduled for late 2026.
