Board of Health elects Reid as chair, Payne as vice chair

Plymouth Board of Health elects new leadership, hears on nicotine and waste policies. The board elected Teri Reid, M.D., as Chairperson and Meg Payne as Vice Chairperson in 3-0 votes at its January 7 meeting. Maureen Buzby, Tobacco Prevention Manager for Melrose, presented the Nicotine Free Generation policy, implemented in six communities to improve sales compliance.
Andrea Dickinson, President of Sustainable Plymouth, presented the Bring Your Own Cup initiative, designed to reduce waste and increase revenues. Board members discussed kratom regulations and received updates on civic and wellness initiatives.
